China Central Television arranges airing of a new information channel chiefly meant for Russian-speaking audience. Broadcasting will be carried out on a continuous basis. The première airing is planned for September. The first broadcasts include a news show, an economic review, and travels through China.

The Russian-language channel will be headed by Din Yun who worked as a staff reporter in Moscow three years ago. Chinese television management expects the new channel will be popular not only in Russia but on the whole post-Soviet territory as well. Project organizers believe it will be also useful for the Chinese themselves who are learning Russian.
