As reported by the Press Service of Vnesheconombank, in the course of the consultations current cooperation topics of IBA were discussed. The participants to the meeting focused special attention on clarification of agenda items of the forthcoming IBA Council meeting on the level of presidents of banks-members of the Association to be held in Yekaterinburg and preparation of terms of IBA cooperation with the SCO observer countries’ banks.
The meeting also devoted great care to issues of cooperation of the SCO observer countries with financial institutions, developing cooperation with the SCO Business Council, SCO IBA’s Internet site creation.
Representatives of partner banks exchanged opinions and information about updating “the bank for the projects” and selection of SCO IBA’s pilot projects.
SCO IBA was founded on October 26, 2005; its activity is directed on support of regional economic cooperation. The Association consists of authorized banks of the SCO member states: the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC, the State Development Bank of China JSC, RSK Bank OJSC, State Corporation “Bank of Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)”, the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan "Amonatbonk", National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Since 2008 the Eurasian Development Bank has been the Association’s partner bank.
During 2008-2009 Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev has been Chairman of the Board of SCO IBA.
