|Cooperation with UN in Central Asia Discussed in RF MFA|
|On July 7 Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexei Borodavkin received Director of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy (RCPD) in Central Asia Miroslav Yencha at his request.
The parties discussed the situation in Afghanistan and Central Asia, different aspects of cooperation between Russia and UN for drug trafficking and terrorism counteraction. RCPDТs readiness to intensify counteraction to these threats jointly with SCO, CSTO and CIS was highlighted.
Later on the same day Miroslav Yencha met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, Secretary of State Grigory Karasin.
The parties discussed the situation in the Central Asia region, different aspects of cooperation between Russia and UN for the counteraction to threats and challenges of regional security.
