SCO Secretary-General expresses condolences to Russian Ambassador to China on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger aircraft crash

On 6 May 2019, SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov sent a letter of condolences and words of support to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the People's Republic of China Andrei Denisov.

The message from the SCO Secretary-General reads:

Mr Denisov,
We are shocked by the accident that happened at Sheremetyevo Airport on 5 May 2019 — the crash of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger aircraft that took the lives of 41 people.
The SCO Secretariat expresses its deepest condolences to the people and the Government of the Russian Federation as well as to the Murmansk Region authorities. Please convey our heartfelt words of sympathy to the families and friends of the victims, and wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured in the crash."
With respect and deepest condolences.
