The Vinogradovsky Readings are hold in Tashkent annually at the end of January in commemoration of the great Russian scientist, outstanding philologist, all-round scholar, Academician Viktor Vinogradov. For the first time they were held in 2005 and since then became traditional. As the promoters note, such scientific readings devoted to the Russian language “exist nowhere else in the SIC countries”.
This time scholarly papers were presented on Vinogradov’s grammatical teaching and linguistic heritage, his concept of word formation aspects, problems of stylistics and poetics, questions of speech standards and Russian teaching methods. These papers are planned to be published by a separate collection.
